Natural Gas Service Natural Gas in Georgia Means Choices Much of Georgia's natural gas market was deregulated in 1998 to provide Georgians with competitive pricing for natural gas service. Customers who are on Atlanta Gas Light Company's natural gas pipeline system are eligible to choose their own marketer for natural gas service. Because Atlanta Gas Light Company manages the pipeline, they are responsible for repairing gas leaks and responding to other gas emergencies. How to Establish Residential or Commercial Natural Gas Service Natural gas marketers set their own prices for gas service and deliver gas through the Atlanta Gas Light pipeline. To view current gas prices for each marketer or for more details about deregulation, visit the Public Service Commission's web site at www.psc.state.ga.us. To establish natural gas service, contact one of the certified natural gas marketers in Georgia.
